AUSTRALIA
They pair in flocks. Feed noisily in foliage and blossoms of eucapypts, banksias and paperbarks and nectar feeders in gardens. They also raid ripe garden fruit. At night they gather and roost in very large flocks. They nest in holes of decayed trees.
HABITAT & RANGE: Rainforest, eucalypt forests, woodlands, paperbark woodlands, coastal banksia scrub, mangroves, gardens and streets etc. Found along the coastal areas from northern Australia - Kimberleys around eastern coast to NSW. Also introduced around Perth probably from avery escapes. Also found in New Caledonia, New Hebrides, Solomons to Papua New Guinea ad Indonesia.
